Approximately 25 miles south of Aberdeen and 3 miles west of the A90, the course lies between Stonehaven and Laurencekirk.

Auchenblae can also be approached from Royal Deeside via the scenic B974 from Banchory leading over the Cairn O’ Mount and through scenic Drumtochty Glen.
